RAW FOOD CLEANSE~DAY 12

Today was definitely a snack day. Last day of my time on the road so should be the last of these…hopefully!! After a 13hr work day then 2 hrs on the road ending with a tow truck and stuck in a random hotel for dinner while my car was with AAA, I was happy that at least my body was still feeling good ūüôā

 

 

Day 12

Morning Drink-Coconut water

  • My fridge is FILLED with Amy and Brian Natural coconut water. And when I jump on theroad, I take a few of these with me and I’m good to go. Also, by far one of the best brands of coconut water I’ve had. I’m a fan of pulp so its even better!

Snack-sweet pepper w/spaghetti sauce

  • ¬†I just happened to have a bag of small sweet peppers and a jar filled with extra¬†spaghetti¬†sauce from dinner last week. This was actually addicting! I’d definitely say make extra of that sauce just so you can use it for veggie dip. mmmm good!.¬†

Snack-Thai curry nuts

  • Of course I always carry a few bags of Living Intentions Gone Nuts in my car. The Thai Curry flavor is one of my addictions. I could easily go through this bag in a minute! I especially love the added coconut with the cashews. Perfect bite to it.

Dinner-Salad

  • Luckily when both my lights went out in my car (random!) and my boyfriend and I pulled off to an exit that looked¬†abandoned, a super sweet couple pulled over to see if they could help. Sadly, nothing could be done however, since we just happened to be close to the SFO airport they were on their way to their hotel nearby. They offered to have us follow them so we wouldn’t be stuck in murderers ally! We got to the hotel and their menu was filled with sandwiches and hamburgers and other fabulous things I wasn’t able to eat. So I chose the house salad with olive oil and lemon juice. Then it started raining and I was just happy to have shelter and something to eat.

Its days like this that make eating raw a bit more difficult that I had imagined!

RAW FOOD CLEANSE~DAY 2

I’m on day 2 and ready to start creating! During the work day, it’ll be a bit more tough to do much but dinner will be my first real creation! For today, I’m hoping I can make something that fills me up this time.¬†

DAY 2

Breakfast-Left over smoothie with acai blueberry cereal added

  • I’m a fan of left overs. If you’re not hungry…then don’t finish it! Just pop it in a jar or closed container and eat it up the next day ūüôā So I got a little creative. Instead of milk, I took my left over smoothie from yesterday and added Living Intentions Acai Blueberry Cereal. Created some great flavor and texture!

Drink-Coconut water

  • Whether you’re a raw foodist, health nut or love your junk food, who can resist a nice cold glass of coconut water with pulp!

Snack-Mango

  • Fresh diced mango and a glass of coconut water….felt like I was back on the beaches of Thailand. Sandy white beaches in my living room!

Lunch-Salad

  • Easy and quick…a salad is always nice. Throw on some onions, cucumber, sweet bell peppers, Zukay Raw Sweet Onion Basil salad dressing. Top off with Living Intentions Gone Nuts! Rosemary Garlic and Living Intentions Salad Booster Vegan Cheesy. And don’t forget some fresh blueberries for a nice sweet taste. Pretty good!

Dinner-Cauliflower Mash + Mushroom Gravy

  • I love mashed potatoes! So having an alternative is crucial. Check out this bomb recipe.
                    MASH:
  1. 3 c Cauliflower broken to small piece
  2. 1/4 cup avocado
  3. 1 minced Garlic
  4. 1/8 c lemon juice
  5. 1 tbls olive oil
  6. 2 tspn sage
  7. Living Intentions  Salad Booster Vegan Cheesy (as much as you like)
  8. 1/4 c Living Intentions Ayurvedic Chili Blend Sprouted Sunflower and Pumpkin Seeds.  (added for spiciness and crunch)
Put everything in a food processor till smooth (or texture you like)
                   
                    GRAVY:
  1. 1/8 c Olive Oil
  2. 2 small mushrooms
  3. 1/4 Filtered water
  4. 1 tspn Apple cider vinegar
  5. 1 small minced garlic
  6. Himalayan salt (to taste)
Put everything in the blender till smooth.
I put the mash in a bowl, poured on the gravy and topped with some small cucumber slices. Then ¬†have a side “slice” of Raw Mineral Rich Crust by Mauk Family Farms. Lots of taste so I drank it with some coconut water…perfect to wash it all down with ūüôā My family tried it and definitely like it.
Dessert-Don’t forget some nice sweets to finish off a great dinner!
  • Super nice Lemon & Coconut by Cafe¬†Gratitude (YES! they make package cookies!) Sitting down with a perfect cup of tea and raw honey. Not too shabby.

RAW FOOD CLEANSE~DAY 1

Raw Food! The purest form of what this amazing earth has to give us and making our bodies healthier than ever! I’ve always known what raw food was since my brother has been living that lifestyle. Now that I’m working for my brothers Raw Food company, he suggested that I do a raw food cleanse so I understood what it was all about. Now that I’m starting, I have a feeling I may have known this world of raw food, but never truly understood it. So, here we go! ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†

DAY 1

Well this day started out slow and but ended a lot better. I thought I had a grasp on what I was going to do…definitely didn’t! I didn’t realize how much more energy I was going to need to put into my food¬†preparation¬†than opening a bag of chips and a jar of salsa.

Menu

Breakfast-Apple

Breakfast-Living Intentions Cacao Crunch Cereal (no milk. Forgot I couldn’t eat regular milk)

  • Who knew cereals were good for you! I love biting into the cacao nubs.

Snack-Living Intentions Thai Chili Pineapple Trail mix

  • Nice and crunchy with a bit of a bite ūüôā

Snack-Living Intentions Gone Nuts! Spinach Pesto

  • LOVE PESTO! The walnuts make a nice soft crunch
Drink-Smoothie w/berries, a banana
  • This was my savior. Easy and delicious.

Dinner-A very large salad with raw dressing, salad booster and Himalayan salt

  • Not to shabby for a first night. Put some great Zukay Sweet Onion Basil Raw Dressing, Living Intentions Gone Nuts! Rosemary and sprinkle of my fav….Himalayan Salt. Oh and who could forget Living Intentions Salad Booster! I put this stuff on just about anything!

Dessert-Living Intentions Gone Nuts! White chocolate Chip.

  • This is easily one of my favorite flavor from this line. Being in love with white chocolate, but having it be so bad for you!!…this was a dream come true.

Well It definitely wasn’t incredibly exciting but it was a start! I’m definitely going to need to get some good recipes and all the kitchen appliances that go with it. Things like a food processor,¬†mandoline, dehydrator and a coffee grinder.¬†Definitely keep up and see what I¬†discover and how my Raw road unfolds. Should be interesting!
